Mt. Hardesty

We drove to Eagle’s Rest Trail by way of Goodman Creek Road and logging roads 203 and 2005. We climbed Eagle’s Rest Trail to Sawtooth Rock and from there to Hardesty Trail eastward. Perfect weather and a “show of shows” in wildflowers and bird songs stayed with us the whole day. Our shutterbugs were in Seventh Heaven. The trail was clear and everyone excepting Thelma gained the summit for a superb view of the high country. Thelma decided to have her lunch at Sawtooth Rock where we gathered her in en route to the cars. We returned to Highway 58 by way of Lost Creek Road. Shutterbugs and others were: Dorothy Hayes, Herb Hoffer, Aileen Lynam, Tess Smith, Barbara Stiles, leader, Merle Traudt, John Uhrhammer, and Thelma Watson.
