Mt. June

May 22, 1976

Left Eugene at 8:00 a.m. Started on trail to Mt. June at 9:30 and reached summit at 11:30. Weather was overcast in the valley but clear and warm on top. Crossed a couple of small snow patches on north side near summit. Ate lunch and visited on summit for about an hour and started for cars. At junction to Hardesty Mt. half of group went on to cars and home, while others took short side trip to Sawtooth ridge. All were home by 4:30 after easy five to six mile hike. On trip: Sloan Bertsch, Gladys Grancorvitz, Chuck Haddad, Lee Hatch, leader, Dorothy Hayes, Denice Kalakag, Dorothy Leland, Evelyn and Herbert McCornack, Parker Riddle, Henrietta Richmond, Merle Traudt, Marion Wylie.
