So. Will. Trail and Mt. Hardesty

Drove to the Mt. Hardesty trailhead about 30 miles up the Willamette Highway. Hiked ¾ts of a mile up the Hardesty trail to the South Willamette trail junction, hiked to the end of it then back to the cars. Drove up to the Crale Creek Road then to upper end of South Willamette trail, hiked down to Crale Creek and back to cars. Drove up the road to where crosses the Mt. Hardesty trail, hiked to top of Hardesty. Found snow patches on top (elevation 4200 ft.) about two feet in depth. Weather was cloudy with partial sun. Found four logs ranging from 6" to 30" in diameter down on the trail otherwise trail in good condition. Hikers were, Lorene Bressler, Mary Bridgeman, Pamela Ferrara, Alta Forgey, Gladys Grancorvitz, Sam Labbe, Suzy Labbe, Teresa Reyes Nutt, Bill Pitchford, Parker Riddle, Helen Smith, leader.
