Fall Creek Trail

April 24, 1976

Left town parking lot at 8:00 a.m. Weather predictions were mixed. Started on trail at 9:30 a.m. and wandered along amidst springflowers, bird songs, the sound of rushing waters, catching occasional glimpses of sunshine or raindrops. Called lunch time at 12:00 noon at Bedrock picnic area, then proceeded on to the opposite side of the river where the going proved a bit less pleasant due to rain, heavy blowdowns, and high water in tributary streams. Reached cars at “Dolly Varden” at 3:30 p.m. and Eugene at 4:30.
