Variety Show

The polls predicted a small turn-out for this meeting; they were right. After a brief discussion on the issues on the ballot, voting took place and both propositions were approved by a majority vote.

A variety of delicious food and tables decked out with the seasons first bloom of Camelias combined to make this a festive gathering.

The program was for the “Show-offs”. Participation was keen and ranged from intricate patchwork quilts, fine lace, pottery, antiques, leather, and other crafts to sketches and watercolors by our well known artist. Other talents offered a bit of poetry, guitar rendition, a “Cabaret” number, some magicry, etc. All were enthusiastically applauded. Finally everyone joined in on “Auld Lang Syne” and seemed to have had a wonderful time.
