North SisterJuly 24-25, 1976We made camp Saturday near Obsidian Cliffs. The weather was warm and sunny. The group was anxious for an early start but were delayed Sunday morning due to lack of light. We did get started about 5:30 however and saw a neat sunrise. We made fair time but still met several parties on the snowfield and after some delay we were all on top for lunch. Some time later back at camp we enjoyed a dip in a nearby pond. It refreshed us for the hike out. Becky made her Bad Sister to become a Princess and it was Dawn’s first climb. Becky and Tom Bascom, Steve Gilbert, Dawn Saunders, and Explorers—Keith Hatch (leader), Tom Hulsing, Kevin Kirk, Alice Koffitt, and Paul Orum made up the party. |
