Mt. Rainier Bus Trip

July 30-August 1, 1976

Mt. Rainier did just great for us! Only during the nights did he wrap himself for periods in fog or cloud. During the days he would occasionally don one of his many headdresses—cap, halo, veil.

The sun was bright and warm. The breeze refreshing. Flowers, snow and trails to walk were in good supply, and walk we did. Saturday, 36 of our group of 40 took the bus from Paradise to Sunrise and back with many stops along the way. Before departing for home, Sunday morning all who wanted to hiked the Nisqually loop trail to get an excellent view of the glacier from snout to its beginning at crater rim. Paradise is quite a place! Leaders were Irene Flynn and Helen Weiser.
