Yoran Lake

September 7, 1975

Shortly after 8, we left foggy Eugene and drove into the sunshine. We arrived at the trail head at 9:30 and had to wait for half an hour while a train maneuvered on the tracks cutting us off from the trail. (I think the engineer was practicing driving). We arrived at Lake Yoran at 12:15 and had a couple of hours to spend eating, basking in the sun, swimming and chewing the fat. We took a leisurely walk back to the cars and split for home. I really enjoyed leading this hike with the super hikers who came along.

The hikers were: Allen Andrews, Sally Bethel, Nancy Desmond, Clara Emlen, Esther George, Linda Gourlay, Dorothy Hayes (leader), Sam Miller, Wes Prouty, Margaret Seeley, Connie Thomas, Millard Thomas, Dorothy Turner, Robert Walden, Tina Wright, Marion Wylie.
