Blair Lake

May 10, 1975

Stopped by snow and fallen tree on road 3½ miles from lake, decided to try for lake. Velma on skis, Merle on snowshoes, others on foot. Beautiful morning with sunshine, partly cloudy. Stopped for lunch one mile from lake—slogging in deep, soft snow—at 12:40 p.m.

Weather front moved in—decided to return to cars as two or three of party on foot had wet feet. Returned to cars 2:30 p.m. in hard rain. Arrived in Eugene 4:15 p.m. Good trip—no complaints other than wet feet. Those on the trip were: Mary Bridgeman, Dutchess Cox, Esther George, Chuck Haddad, Lee Hatch, Teresa Nutt, Wes Prouty, leader, Velma Shirk, and Merle Traudt.
