Lower Alpine Trail

March 16, 1975

This was a substitute trip for Cap Hagen, because of snow. We left Eugene in the rain for Westfir to explore a new trail which is the “Lower Alpine Trail” and a new one for the Obsidians. Chuck and I were the “advance guard” in partially clearing the trail. In snow, we went thru’ a meadow where the trail ended on a road, which we followed, hoping to find a continuation of this Lower Alpine Trail. Alas! The road ended in a clear cut.

Those on the trip were: Mary Bridgeman, leader, Chuck Haddad, Lee Hatch, Helen Smith, and Merle Traudt.
