Work Trip to Little CowhornMay 31-June 1, 1975On May 31 and June 1 several Obsidians worked with Bill Pratt from the Forest Service Ranger station at Lowell on brushing out the new trail to Little Cowhorn Lookout. Some work had been done last fall before the snow stopped us and we had to wait this spring until the area was clear of snow. The new route is now brushed out and ready to have the tread built. Members will be contacted for this work as soon as we can arrange it. In addition, the lookout was visited, the house was swept out, shutters, which had been taken down, were stored away and the place in general cleaned up. Workers were: Clarence Landes, leader, Merle Traudt, Ted Stearns, Lois Schreiner and Helen Smith. |
