Jennelle Moorhead: Ecuador, Peru & GalapagosJune 21, 1975About 70 attended the June 21 potluck when Jennelle Moorhead showed slides of Ecuador, Peru, the Galapagos. Her pictures and commentary were very impressive. One outstanding picture showed a spectacular Indian Pure Gold Mask of very unusual and intricate design. It is in the Museo-Banco Central in Quito, Ecuador. Many other fascinating and mysterious scenes were enjoyed. Two Obsidians traveled with Jennelle last summer, Jane Hilt and Helen Weiser. Our compliments to all who helped with this social event, Edith Bridgeman and Betty Hack and their kitchen crew; Sue Riemer for decorations; Merle Traudt for setting up the tables; Ray Sims for opening the building and starting the coffee, and very special commendation to Dorothy Leland for another fine program. |
