Diamond Peak

July 27, 1975

Six of us made the 27 July 75 ascent of Diamond Peak. We had very warm weather and lots of mosquitoes at Blue Lake Saturday night. Everyone had a tent in which to escape from the mosquitoes that night or they would have been eaten alive.

Sunday was warm with a slight breeze, but the mosquito attack lasted all the way to timberline. Lunch on the summit and naps by all.

The six on this trip were: Frank Day, Rich Litchfield, Bobby Moffitt, Paula Moffitt, Rose Marie Moffitt and leader Richard L. Moffitt.
