Three Fingered JackJuly 26, 1975We left Saturday morning early, so it would be a one day climb. We arrived at 8 a.m. at the summit trailhead. The snow was all but gone making the hiking very easy. The mosquitoes were not bad at all. Up on the mountain we were unfortunately behind two slow parties even though it was Saturday. After four hours wait at the saddle we finally were given our chance at tackling the pinnacle. We had no problems climbing the pinnacle. Because of our wait, it was getting a little late, so we hiked a fast pace on the way out. We all reached home about 11 p.m. for a well deserved rest. Those on the trip were Carol Bartholomew, Alice Moffitt, Paul Orum, Kevin McManigal and leader Steve McManigal. |
