Paschelke Barite Mine
November 30, 1974
We left Springfield at 9:45 a.m. and arrived at the mine around 10:45 a.m.
Leo showed us his upper mine and where the present mine is.
We all hiked into the mine and explored two crystals there.
After the mine tour, many of the hikers walked around down on the reservoir
bottom looking far artifacts.
At 1:15 p.m. all left for home.
Very fine weather and a good group of hikers.
Those on the trip were:
Mrs. Lee Hatch,
Leo Paschelke, leader,
Cheryl, Dave, Linda, Mark and Mike Zevenbergen.
