Mt. JuneJune 15, 1974We left 19th and Patterson at 8:15 in two cars and followed Hiway 58 and turned off on Rattlesnake Road, then to Lost Creek Road, to trailhead, leaving about 9:40 and reached summit at 11:45. We were fogged in soon after reaching the Lost Creek Road and while hiking the trail. On reaching the summit we were above the fog. From time to time the fog would lower enough to see nearly all the snow capped peaks from Jefferson to Diamond Peak. We got to see little of the lower area. We returned to the cars at 2:30 and were home at 4 p.m. Cutting through the fog were: David Adkins, Jean Calef, Tink, Matt, John & Jeanette Gent. Rolfe Anderson was the leader. (NOTE: Five signup and did not show up). |
