Mt. Jefferson

September 1, 1974

Left at 10:30 for Hunt’s Cove. Then proceeded to Goat Peak Hilton. Enroute Lee Hatch fell in a creek while crossing a log. Started climb at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Arrived at Red Saddle at 6:30. Were on summit at 8:30. Arrived back at camp at 12:30. Keep track of all those times if you can. Walked out Monday. The weather was perfect. Had a full moon while climbing and never even had to use flashlite. This was a very fine trip and those who didn’t make it missed a good one. Climbing were Brian & Lee & Wayne Hatch, Anne Matles, Nick Maskal, Frank Moore, Bruce Utsey and leader Richard W. Temple.
