N.H.S. ANNOUNCES ANNUAL BIRD COUNT
The 69th Annual Christmas Bird Count sponsored by the National Audubon Society will be on Sunday, December 29. Allan Larrabee is Chairman--Phone 342-2993.... Call him for information on where to meet, equipment, etc. The December meeting of Natural History Society will be on Friday, Dec. 13, 8:00 p.m., Room 150 Science. The program will deal with problems of caring for zoo animals -- by Dr. Mayberry of the Portland Zoo.

COME FOR AN EVENING OF GOOD FOOD AND GOOD CHEER!
Potluck at 6:30 p.m....ENTERTAINMENT.... COME AND SEE...Santa Claus will be there too. For the gift exchange, each person bring a gift to cost not more than 30¢ (if you choose--make or bake). Please mark on outside of package .... ladies for ladies, men for men, boys for boys, girls for girls, or for either or for any age.

FLYING HIGH NEW YEAR'S EVE
WALTER YOUNGQUIST will be at the controls when Obsidians and friends take flight over the Northwest by pictures and story.
However, before we reach our destination-1969, most any highjacker may take over when the Liar's Contest begins. The one with the tallest tale will go down in history, for his or her name will be engraved on that famous Obsidian Liars Canteen. Come prepared to spin your best yarn.
Flight 1969 will take off at 8:30 p.m. December 31st from the Obsidian Lodge. Bring cookies or sandwiches; drinks will be furnished (coffee, tea or punch, that is!).
