NEW YEAR'S PARTY
Belknap Springs has been selected by the outing committee for the 1937 New Year's jamboree. Dancing, stunts, and the biggest and snappiest liar's contest will feature the evening's entertainment.
New Year's Day activities will include skiing at a location to be determined by snow conditions, also swimming at the Belknap tank. The annual turkey dinner will be served at the hotel, which is steam heated, addin greatly to the comfort of all. The Management requests that there be no "hobs".
Accommodations for eighty-five are assured. Obsidians and Ski Club members are to sign at Hendershott's Gun Store. Come prepared to enter all events and help the committee make this the best outing yet.

NEW LODGE FOR 1937
The board members have approved the site at the base of Deer Butte for the new Obsidian Lodge. The rocky ledge, about three hundred yards above the Ski trail is an ideal location, having full benefit of the sun and a perfect view of the Sisters and surrounding country. The natural rock garden makes a beautiful front yard, with lovely evergreens in the background. All members are requested to view the site, for the opinions of all are welcomed by the committee.
Forest service officials assure the lease of property when plans of construction are submitted. Members are asked to submit any plans or suggestions directly to Bailey Castelloe, chairman on "Construction". Types of material, designs, etc. are to be submitted not later than
