Meanwhile, back on Pumori. . .
The snowfall that hit us at Gokyo also pinned down the Pumori climbers for several days. After carrying loads and setting lines on the route, they had backed off the route for some rest and recovery time — so no one was above base camp when the snow came. They were forced to wait for a few days after the snow stopped to allow the snow to settle before they could resume.
The pictures attached, of course, are not mine.
The view of Ama Dablam from their high camp makes me almost wish I had
stuck around for the Pumori climb.
